Introducing Our New Hull Design Methodology
Our team has developed an innovative approach to hull form optimization that combines computational fluid dynamics with parametric modeling techniques.

Engineering the Future of Naval Architecture
A student team at the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University — pushing boundaries in ship design, hydrodynamics, and marine systems.
Based at the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Polaris Team brings together ambitious students passionate about naval architecture, ship design, and marine technology. We bridge academic knowledge with hands-on engineering through real-world projects and international competitions.
Our multidisciplinary approach covers everything from hydrodynamics and structural analysis to propulsion systems and sustainable marine design. We use industry-standard tools including Rhino, Maxsurf, ANSYS, and AutoCAD to bring our concepts from idea to reality.

From concept sketches to detailed 3D models, we design vessels that meet international standards. Our designs focus on efficiency, safety, and innovation.
We perform finite element analysis and structural simulations to ensure our designs withstand the harshest sea conditions with optimal material usage.
We represent Alexandria University in international maritime competitions, applying our knowledge to real-world design challenges under tight deadlines.
Our team has developed an innovative approach to hull form optimization that combines computational fluid dynamics with parametric modeling techniques.

We are proud to announce our achievements at the IMARE International Maritime Design Competition held in London this year.

As the maritime industry shifts toward decarbonization, our team is exploring green propulsion systems and eco-friendly hull coatings.
Our team competed against 40 universities worldwide and secured first place with an innovative patrol vessel design featuring hybrid propulsion and advanced stability systems.
